Scale your apps with Arbitrum Nova
We're thrilled to announce that we're rolling out support for Arbitrum Nova, an innovative Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum.
By combining Arbitrum Nova's AnyTrust technology with our powerful developer tools, we're empowering developers to build fast, affordable, and user-friendly onchain apps.
Starting today, developers can begin building on Arbitrum Nova, and will have access to Supernode and Subgraphs. We will also soon support data APIs, Webhooks and Account Abstraction infrastructure for Arbitrum Nova developers.
Scale your apps with Arbitrum Nova
Boost performance, secure scaling, and cut costs with Arbitrum Nova's AnyTrust protocol and Optimistic Rollups. Build next-gen gaming and social apps now!
Why build on Arbitrum Nova?
Here are three reasons to build on Arbitrum Nova:
1. High Performance
Arbitrum Nova is designed for apps that require a higher transaction throughput such as blockchain-powered gaming and social apps.
2. Secure Scaling
Arbitrum Nova's AnyTrust protocol ensures secure scaling through a Data Availability Committee (DAC), requiring only two honest parties for verification, independent of committee size.
3. Reduced Costs
By leveraging Optimistic Rollups, Arbitrum Nova streamlines transactions, batching them and submitting summaries to Ethereum, significantly reducing computational costs.
Building on Arbitrum Nova? Alchemy is your go-to solution
Building on our web3 developer platform gives Arbitrum Nova devs immediate access to:
Supernode — the most reliable and scalable infrastructure to build web3 dapps
Subgraphs — custom API for onchain data, with 50% less data lag and 5x faster backfills
Webhooks, Token API, Transfers API and Smart Accounts in your dashboard today
Developer tools — alerts, sandbox, logs, and a user-friendly dashboard interface
World-class support — 24/7 support from engineers
Arbitrum Nova for Gaming
Nova is perfect for web3 games, where users can mint in-game items onchain at a high frequency. Alt-DA makes it feasible for developers to subsidize or completely abstract gas out of the user experience.
In-game economies: perfect for games that require handling of frequent transactions for item purchases, transfers, and the like.
Multiplayer games: ability to handle frequent, simultaneous transactions often required for large-scale multiplayer games
Verifiable Random Function (VRF): with Nova’s high-throughput capacity, developers can use VRFs to generate random elements (e.g. power-ups, terrain, characters, etc.), ultimately providing transparency, provable fairness, and security in gameplay.
InfiniGods leverages Arbitrum Nova to power its flagship game, King of Destiny (KoD) — a luck battle mobile game building upon the success of titles like Monopoly Go! or Coin Master.
King of Destiny utilizes a novel Progressive Web App (PWA), which allows players to pay for in-game items and resources with standard fiat POS options like Apple Pay, while maintaining onchain functionality in the backend.
Abstracting the Blockchain
When a player signs up for King of Destiny, a wallet is automatically provisioned for them on the backend. With this, KoD assets purchased from the in-game marketplace are automatically transferred to the player's wallet. By taking advantage of the cheap, stable gas prices on Arbitrum Nova, InfiniGods is able to subsidize and abstract all gas fees for King of Destiny players.
Arbitrum Nova for Social Attestations
Arbitrum Nova supports social attestations, as demonstrated by the collaboration between the Arbitrum Foundation, Clique, and Ethereum Attestation Service as part of the Arbitrum Arcade campaign.
Attestations are essentially onchain confirmations about offchain data. Clique integrated with ~25 different Arbitrum games by connecting to their internal APIs, allowing users to bring a representation of that data onchain. Over the 2 months, roughly 90,000 attestations were created.
Arbitrum Nova for DeFi
In the DeFi space, Arbitrum Nova enables efficient applications due to its fast transaction speeds and low costs. An example is Premia Blue. It utilizes Arbitrum Nova for proxy data availability for their complex off-chain options pricing due to its fast transaction speeds and low costs.
With Premia Blue's options order book on Arbitrum Nova, all parties are ensured that their orders are not being front ran nor censored.
