What is soneium?
Soneium is designed to bridge web3 with everyday internet services. It aims to make blockchain technology more accessible to users globally, with a focus on creativity, mainstream adoption, and emotional engagement.
For Ethereum developers, Soneium offers:
- Familiar Tech, Enhanced Scalability: Built on Optimism's OP Stack that is Superchain, Soneium allows you to use your existing Ethereum skills while benefiting from improved transaction speeds and lower costs.
- Access to Entertainment & Gaming Ecosystem: Tap into Sony Group's vast resources and user base to create onchain entertainment and gaming apps for mainstream users.
Startale will also transition its Astar Network to the Soneium L2 chain, tapping into the strength of both ecosystems. Astar Network’s community will play an important role in accelerating Soneium’s early adoption, and will benefit from access to new applications on the network.
