OP_NET
OP_NET is a metaprotocol that brings WebAssembly smart contracts and DeFi to Bitcoin Layer 1 using BTC as gas.

What is OP_NET?
OP_NET is a smart-contract layer that runs on top of Bitcoin without sidechains or bridges. Developers write WebAssembly contracts in TypeScript and deploy OP_20 tokens, OP_721 NFTs, DEXs, and other DeFi using BTC as gas. State is derived deterministically from Bitcoin blocks by OP_NET nodes and checkpointed every five blocks, with a wallet (OP_WALLET), block explorers, and Motoswap DEX already live.
