Rootstock
Rootstock is a Bitcoin sidechain that runs EVM-compatible smart contracts and DeFi apps secured by Bitcoin mining.

What is Rootstock?
Rootstock lets developers deploy Solidity smart contracts on a sidechain merge-mined with Bitcoin. Users bridge BTC into RBTC through the PowPeg federation, then use it across DeFi apps, lending, and DEXes on the network. The chain has been live since 2018 and anchors more than 60% of Bitcoin hashrate through merge mining.
