Yam Finance is a community-run DeFi DAO launched in 2020 around the elastic-supply YAM token and an on-chain treasury. YAM holders vote on proposals, fund the Yam Grants program for ecosystem contributors, and earn YAM by depositing into yield-farming pools. The treasury is denominated in stablecoins and ETH, and the protocol's contracts and front-ends are open source and entirely community-maintained.
