What is Dash?
Dash is a proof-of-work Layer 1 blockchain forked from Bitcoin in 2014, with a second tier of bonded masternodes that enable InstantSend confirmations, PrivateSend coin mixing, and on-chain treasury governance. Dash Platform extends the chain with a username system and decentralized data storage for consumer-facing apps. About 10% of block rewards are routed to a treasury that funds proposals voted on by masternode operators.
